Compassionate attention is the beginning of coherence

Relational Somatic Inquiry is one-to-one, body-centred mindfulness work in which we bring thoughtful attention to your lived experience, creating space for clarity, integration, and greater self-trust.

What is Somatic Inquiry?

Relational Somatic Inquiry is a collaborative way of exploring your inner world through relational attunement, embodied curiosity, and attentive listening. In our sessions, we slow down and include your bodily experience in the inquiry, paying attention to sensations, emotions, and images, alongside reflection, so that more of what you’re living can be heard and understood.

This work is informed by neuroscience, attachment theory, trauma-aware practice, parts-oriented approaches, and an understanding of how the nervous system shapes experience. At its heart is a simple trust: that within you there is an inherent intelligence and movement toward integration that can be supported and strengthened over time. I focus on the capacities for resilience, insight, and growth that already exist within you, supporting meaningful change guided by care, consent, and your own inner authority.

My approach is grounded in relational presence and shaped by an animist sensibility.

My teaching and therapeutic work draw on many threads, held within an ongoing conversation between the inner and outer worlds. I’m guided by the tools of somatic inquiry, contemplative practice, mythic and symbolic understanding, and a living relationship with the natural world. I see the modalities I draw on not as separate disciplines, but as interwoven languages of the sacred ordinary, pathways of reconnection that remind us we belong to a greater whole.

Who is this work for?

The intention of my work is to support you in building a more resilient and trusting relationship with yourself, one rooted in awareness, curiosity, and self-compassion, and grounded in a felt sense of safety over time.

This work can be supportive for anyone drawn to it, and is often especially helpful if you are:

  • at a crossroads or moving through a significant life transition

  • navigating relational distress or healing attachment wounds

  • seeking deeper trust in your inner knowing

  • feeling overwhelmed by strong emotions or stress

  • integrating plant medicine or other transformative experiences

  • living with the lasting impacts of trauma
