How This Works
Commit to 30 days of meditation practice and receive support from me, and a community of people making their own commitment to practice. Every few days you will get another audio recording of a short talk delivered via an email newsletter, answers to burning questions about meditation, and a new technique to explore. I do not send an email every day as I want you to have time to work with the techniques and do not want to overwhelm your inbox either.
What Techniques Will We Use?
I will introduce a variety of meditation techniques over the course of the program. You can use these as you like, or simply choose one to focus on for the entire program. Some of the techniques we will explore will be-
- Using personal intention as point of focus
- Using the breath as a tool
- Using internal repetition of Mantra
- Working with physical sensation
- Working with simple visualization
- Using Japa Mantra (with or without a Mala string)
- Working with strong emotions
- Loving Kindness or Metta meditations
What If I’ve Never Done Meditation Before?
You do not need any previous experience for this simple program. I will provide the basic info and we will have a community forum for troubleshooting as well. But honestly we tend to over-complicate meditation and I will not be asking you to sit for hours every day, just a minimum of five minutes.
Anyone can do this! This program is for those who want to begin, or re-inspire a daily. This program is for anyone who wants to begin or re-inspire a practice of daily practice of meditation, and I will provide a number of resources to support you in establishing a personal practice of meditation that works for you.
What Is The Challenge?
To meditate each day of the 30 day period for a minimum of 5 minutes. That’s all! You are of course welcome to meditate more, but the invitation here is to make a commitment daily for a minimum period of time and to start to build some momentum and regularity with your practice. Most people say not having enough time is the greatest obstacle to meditation. Or being too busy. Or getting too restless. Starting with just 5 minutes a day lets you bypass all that resistance and you will see that 5 minutes a day for 30 days really can make a difference in how you feel.
Why Are We Starting On A New Moon?
Working with the lunar rhythms can add another layer of support to our commitment to practice. The new moon is a time of new beginnings and is ideal for setting intentions that are in alignment with our deepest desires. It also allows us to tap into a larger cycle of energy that can support us as we make our commitment to ourselves for a 30 day period.
Can I Do The Course Next Month Instead?
I run this course as a 30 day live program, not as a downloadable package you can purchase and do on your own. I do this so that I can offer my support via the forum and Q&A recordings. I also do it this way so that we can all tap into the support of knowing a group of people are going through the program at the same time, because even if those people may live on the other side of the world from you, it does help to know that others are doing the work at the same time you are.
Next Program: Fall 2018

“I can highly recommend the 30 day illumination meditation challenge. This is not like other challenges where you simply receive an email reminder and a recording – it is so much more! Natalie makes the whole process interactive and personal, all participants can ask questions and receive wise advice via recorded session from Natalie. Natalie has a style that is gentle and non-dogmatic yet full of wisdom and she has a way of making it easy to practice loving kindness and self care to oneself. I am a yoga teacher and a long time student of both yoga and meditation but this course still held so much new information and knowledge for me whilst at the same time being accessible to those new to the art and practice of meditation. I got so much more than I bargained for – it was worth every penny and so much more! Thank you Natalie I look forward to joining you again on the next challenge” ~ Emma Turnbull UK
“This program has given me the ‘jump start’ that I needed. The most useful aspects of the program were the systematic breakdown of the steps to getting started, then adding tools weekly; giving time to explore each tool. This helped me to gain confidence in what I was doing or not doing” ~ Debra Hamilton
“This program provided me with more than I expected. It took my meditation practice to the next level with tools, strategies, and techniques that would have taken me months to research, learn and play with on my own. Natalie is calm, empathetic, knowledgeable backed with experience, and grounded. I truly appreciate the effort she has put into this program, as the benefit it has provided me (as well as many others I imagine!) is beyond words. Thanks Natalie! ” ~ Pia Kar
“The 30 Day Illumination Program was a magical and profound experience for me! I can honestly say that, despite having participated in countless 30 or 40 or 21 or whatever number of Day challenges of all sorts…THIS is the first one that I have completed feeling 100% satisfied. Yes! I feel illumined and my commitment to daily meditation is stronger than ever; even more importantly, though, I feel like the program was a success and I feel like I succeeded. This is huge considering that I have a deep “I’m not enough” pattern (samskara) engrained in my neural pathways. Meditation heals. The techniques offered, the talks provided and the supportive and loving community that was created all combined to make an epic healing and inspiring journey from New Moon to New Moon! Feeling blessed. And so grateful.”~ Shanna Mumm
“I highly recommend this program!! It was super easy to access and use and beautifully put together. I enjoyed learning the techniques through the guided meditations. So much fun to be apart of a big community of love and support with people all around the world doing the practice with you. It was so wonderful to share our experiences with each other! I will continue to use the technique in my daily practices.” ~ Sharon Lee
“Natalie’s compassionate and wise support was above and beyond my expectations for the program. Her skill in creating and facilitating a community around the progam’s goals greatly contributed to my positive experience. Natalie’s willingness to engage with the community and to be available to answer questions helped me stay present and active with the work we were doing. She gently held us accountable, but with unwavering confidence in our ability to stay with the challenge. The program helped me uncover the disclipline and courage to investigate meditation as a daily practice, and I am completely hooked. Natalie, namaste and thank you!” ~ Alysia Miller
“This program is more than one could hope for. Do not hesitate to take on this challenge. The support and resources exceeded my expectations.” ~ Stacey Bucca
“I absolutely loved this meditation challenge and its something I am going to be continuing and joining in on again. Its shifted me into more awareness and how to deal with things, thoughts, emotions when they arise. Its given me the strength to dive deeper, to get curious and the safe container to do so. I feel that for me meditation is my foundation now, a bridge to explore and my space for self-love. THANK YOU Natalie, your programs always blow my mind and awake something within and with that I get a little closer to “home”. – Amanda Strutt
