Embodied Presence: Intro to Mindfulness Program
In mindfulness, one is not only restful and happy but alert and awake. Meditation is not evasion; it is a serene encounter with reality.
|| Thich Nhat Hanh
This five-week online intro to mindfulness program is open to anyone who wants support in developing a personal meditation practice. Join me from anywhere in the world via live stream on Zoom or access the class recordings, which you will have forever access to. In this program, I will share stories and teachings from the Buddhist tradition along with modern perspectives on the topics of neuroscience and nervous system health. We will explore a variety of techniques centering around the practices of embodied mindfulness and compassion.
This course is ideal for anyone who is newer to the practice of meditation and wants to learn more, but experienced practitioners will also enjoy this as a refresh and a way of kickstarting a home practice.
Each class will include -
- 20-minute presentation on the focus for that day's practice
- 20 minute guided meditation practice
- 5 minute relaxation practice
- 15 - 20Â minute Q&A or discussion period
During this program, I will also offer suggestions for practicing in between classes as well as a suggested reading list for further study (if desired).
No previous meditation experience needed, this program is meant to support new and experienced practitioners alike.
All classes will be recorded and housed on Teachable. Participants will have ongoing access to the materials for the cost of a one-time purchase.
